Recycling Facilities
Quay Waste are pleased to announce the completion of their moving of operations from Broadway Road to Teignbridge sidings, Exeter Road, Teigngrace, Newton Abbot.
The new development project means there has been a complete overhaul of the site, which has allowed for the operation of recycling facilities. With the purchase of a new baling machine, 10 tonnes of material can now be baled every hour.
With an investment of approximately £120,000 to provide equipment for recycling, director Mark Palmer (with over 21 years experience in the recycling trade) formed Quay Waste Recycling Ltd to operate and recycle materials from the site at Teigngrace.
Products for recycling are
collected on a regular basis from local trades and households throughout Devon. The materials are then returned to Teigngrace
where they are sorted and baled.
Quay Waste Ltd provides approximately 400 tonnes of materials for recycling each month. Many local businesses also provide materials for recycling. Quay Waste Ltd also provides 150 tonnes of glass for recycling.
When enough material has been baled the materials are then loaded for transportation to the recycling mills.
By sorting different materials for recycling huge amounts of landfill space can be saved, thus making for a friendly, healthy environment.
